The average temperatures in Las Vegas during the month of October are between 58°-82° Fahrenheit. However, this is only an average. The weather could be considerably warmer or cooler, so be sure to pack breezy clothes for hot days and have a layer or two handy for night-time activities just in case. Above all, be sure to pack sunscreen and keep water with you at all times! And don’t forget your sunglasses – the sun is very bright!
We’ve heard from many colleagues who are excited about the venue, but know that, for some, Las Vegas can be a difficult place. DLF values the participation and well-being of every attendee. We are, as always, committed to providing a safe, inclusive, nurturing, and respectful conference experience for everyone. As we note in our Code of Conduct, on-duty conference staff, identifiable by their name badges and white lanyards, will be available at conference social events as well as during the daily program and after hours, on call.
Many casinos have started charging parking fees for both guests of the resort and those simply parking there for a short time. The parking fees don’t apply to every resort, so make sure if you’re driving and parking to check that resort’s website before leaving so you know how much the fee is!
Note: Most bars will have a cover charge of $5-$10 for men (and sometimes for all guests), especially after 10 pm; parking in lots has hourly & maximum charge; parking on streets has hourly charge — check the meter, some street locations have free parking after 10 pm!)
