Conference Venue and Hotel

The 2018 DLF Forum will take place at the M Resort, just outside Las Vegas, Nevada, in the town of Henderson, from October 15 – 17, 2018—with a pre-conference workshop and learning day (Learn@DLF) on October 14 and NDSA‘s Digital Preservation 2018 on October 17 – 18.

The M Resort
12300 Las Vegas Blvd S.
Henderson, NV 89044

We’ve heard from many colleagues who are excited about the venue, but know that, for some, Las Vegas can be a difficult place. DLF values the participation and well-being of every attendee. We are, as always, committed to providing a safe, inclusive, nurturing, and respectful conference experience for everyone. As we note in our Code of Conduct, on-duty conference staff, identifiable by their name badges and white lanyards, will be available at conference social events as well as during the daily program and after hours, on call.

We’ve chosen a venue well off the Strip, and in the coming months, will work closely with our 2018 Inclusivity Committee on measures for the Vegas-wary, like a dedicated “Friends of Bill W.” space, lists of helpful resources, DLF wellness programming, and more. As always, we will collect any accessibility and special accommodations requests you may have as part of our registration form, and keep you informed as to our progress in fulfulling them. If you have any questions about the venue before registering, feel free to contact us.

Guests can make reservations online at the M Resort as part of our conference room block by using this reservations web link. Alternatively, a reservation can be made calling the M Resort’s toll-free reservations line at (877) 673-7678 and mentioning the group code SDLF18. The base room rate is $170 per room per night during the DLF Forum and affiliated events (before taxes and incidentals).

We’ve heard a number of reports that our membership is being contacted by the “Convention Housing Planners Corp” and organizations with a similar name. Members are then being:

– offered lower rates than the M Resort;
– asked for their credit card information; and/or
– told that the conference is running out of rooms and that hotel rooms can be booked through the caller’s agency.

Please be aware that this is a scam. The M Resort doesn’t solicit anyone, nor do they engage agency services to sell rooms on their behalf.  And DLF will never share your contact information with a third party.

Looking to save on lodging or transportation costs for the Forum? Take a look at our Rideshare/Roomshare Spreadsheet and consider coordinating with other attendees!
